Dexter-Huron Boardwalk Project Update:
Progress continues on the Border to Border (B2B) Trail boardwalk replacement project at Dexter-Huron Metropark.To date, crews have successfully completed redecking five of the seven boardwalks, and work is currently underway on boardwalk #6.
To accommodate holiday visitors, the B2B Trail will temporarily reopen July 3–5, allowing trail users to enjoy the corridor during the Independence Day weekend.
Following the holiday, the trail will close again from July 6–10 so crews can complete the remaining concrete approach work and final project details. Construction is anticipated to be completed by July 10, weather permitting.
We appreciate the public's patience during this important improvement project. The new boardwalk decking will help ensure a safer and more enjoyable trail experience for years to come.
